Family Fundamentals Receives Grant Funding for Back to School Blast

The City of Lakeland Community Development Department will be awarding $3,500 to Family Fundamentals for the Family Fundamentals & Community Partners Back To School Blast to be held August 7th, at the Lakeland Center.
Lynne Simpkins, Sr. Planner City of Lakeland, stated "Due to the value this event brings to the community, the Community Development Department felt they should help in any way possible to make this event happen" and they will be using $3,500 of the allocated neighborhood funding towards this event.
Family Fundamental has also been awarded $20,000 for the "Family Fundamentals Backpack & School Supply Distribution Project" from the George W. Jenkins Fund within the Community Foundation of Greater Lakeland, Inc..
School supplies from this project will be distributed at the Family Fundamentals & Community Partners Back To School Blast that is to be held Saturday, August 7th at the Lakeland Center.
