Small businesses are the backbone of the Central Florida economy. As a small business owner, you are in it for the long haul. Your business is rooted in the community – and community involvement can be a valuable recruitment and retention tool for your company.
By choosing to become a United Way Small Business United member, you can build your business and employee morale. It is simple and affordable for your business to assume a place of leadership in our community. This initiative makes philanthropy easier and more rewarding for the business community in Polk, Hardee and Highlands counties.
Join Small Business United today by donating to UWCF. Solopreneurs can join by donating $150 annually, $300 for businesses with 2 to 10 employees and $500 for businesses with 11 to 50 employees.
Small Business United is hosting its first Small Business Crawl from 9/12 to 11/29. Members get a spot on our map and UWCF will use its wide reach to encourage participation in this campaign.
Stores will receive a poster with a QR code for customers to scan and tell us they visited your business or used your service. The business with the most scans, as well as the most well-traveled shopper, will both earn prizes.
Your business can also host a give-back event for additional promotion during the crawl and help raise money for United Way at the same time by having a cover charge or portion of sales during your event benefit UWCF.
After the crawl, your business will get the emails of everyone who visited your store and checked in with the provided QR code.
