When our community faces disaster, United Way of Central Florida plays a key role. From ensuring volunteers and frontline workers can act swiftly, to leading long-term recovery, UWCF has the experience, networks and capacity to address even the most devastating events.
As Floridians, we know the devastating impact hurricanes can leave behind. In the past, we have responded by mobilizing volunteers and staff to meet pressing needs and directing emergency funds to local organizations that offer long-term stability to those affected.
In 2020, UWCF partnered with GiveWell Community Foundation to form the United Community Relief Fund, providing additional assistance and connecting donors with a way to make a direct impact.
Of course, we hope we won’t need the fund again, but if the time comes, you can trust that the donations received at UnitedCommunityRelief.org will help the agencies of Polk, Hardee and Highlands counties.
