UWCF kicks off 2019 campaign with the help of the Lakeland Flying Tigers
In collaboration with the Lakeland Flying Tigers, United Way of Central Florida was able to hit a home run with this year’s campaign kickoff.
Friends, families, supporters, etc. were invited to celebrate what UWCF accomplished last year and what we will accomplish together in 2019.
The program kicked off with UWCF 2019 Board of Directors Chair, Greta Dupuy recognizing 2018 Employee Coordinators (EC’s), 2018 Top Supporters, Community Impact Teams, Funded Services, 2019 Volunteers, 2019 Pacesetters and UWCF Staff. Also Greta recognized the new slate of officers on this year’s UWCF Board of Directors.
Past UWCF Board Chair, Don Selvage, highlighted all the success from 2018. He also thanked Ed and Denise Crenshaw for being campaign co-chairs, the 2018 EC’s of the Year, and the Summit Award winners.
Tim Campbell recognized our 2018 Top Supporters (click here to see the list of them) and workplace partners.
Greg Littleton spoke about how UWCF is being disruptive in the community, just as Netflix, Uber, Ford, etc. have become disruptive in their industries. UWCF is a CONVENOR to credibly establish the most pressing community needs, as a BROKER, UWCF put contributions to work in the most effective programs that move the needle in measurable ways and AMPLIFY to draw down matching funds and grants from multiple public and private sources.
Robert Pericht introduced our 2019 Ambassadors and announced recent improvements to the program (click here to learn more).
Michael Tamney shared the impact in our community and lives that have been changed thanks to UWCF.
Dusty Johnson thanked our Upper Cabinet members, which is a group of volunteers who help raise the funds for UWCF.
Lyle Bowlin recognized our 2019 Pacesetters (click here to learn more) that set the tone for the campaign year.
UWCF’s Christina Criser Jackson (CEO) and Ansley Woods (VP of Resource Development) ended the program by leading the crowd in a cheer of “improve lives and strengthen our community” chant.
After the program, guests were invited to watch the Lakeland Flying Tigers take on the Jupiter Hammerheads.
