United Way of Central Florida, GEICO and Jesse Keen Elementary Team Up to Empower Students with 4th Annual Backpack Donation Event

Lakeland, FL, June 28, 2023 – GEICO, the renowned insurance company, is once again joining hands with United Way of Central Florida and local elementary school, Jesse Keen, to make a positive impact on students’ lives. In a continuing effort to support education and the local community, GEICO along with the help of their associates, will be donating 450 backpacks filled with essential school supplies during the annual event at Jesse Keen School on Friday, July 28 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

The event, now in its 4th year, has become a symbol of hope and opportunity for students in need. Through this partnership, thousands of school supplies have been contributed to Jesse Keen students over the years, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and readiness for the upcoming academic year.

Benefitting Jesse Keen students exclusively, the event will ensure that they have the tools they need to succeed throughout the school year. The backpacks are thoughtfully filled with items tailored to enhance their learning experience and equip them for success.

“We are thrilled to continue our collaboration between GEICO and Jesse Keen Elementary, supporting the academic achievement for the young minds in our community,” said Andrea Oliver-Clarke, Manager of Philanthropy at United Way of Central Florida. “Investing in the academic success of students in our community is a responsibility we take seriously, and we are proud to witness the positive impact this initiative has made over the years.”

GEICO’s dedication to giving back to the community, along with United Way’s focus on education, aligns perfectly with Jesse Keen Elementary’s vision of fostering a conducive learning environment for all students, regardless of their circumstances.
