Florida Healthy Start Turns 30

Happy 30th birthday to Florida Healthy Start! In October, Representative Colleen Burton joined us at Success By 6, Family Fundamentals to recognize and celebrate this incredible organization.
The Healthy Start Coalition of Hardee, Highlands & Polk Counties, Inc. mission is to promote and support healthy pregnancies, babies, and families by providing a maternal and child health system of care through community partnerships. Thank you and congratulations for thirty years of improving lives and strengthening our community!

The Healthy Start COMMITMENT is two-fold:

  1. To establish partnerships among private and public sector, state and local governments, community groups and organizations, and maternal and child health care providers to offer coordinated, community-based care for pregnant women and infants.
  1. To promote and protect the health and well-being of all pregnant women and children through the provision and accessibility of health care programs to fully meet the health requirements of this population.

Thank you Representative Colleen Burton for helping us celebrate this anniversary and for being a champion of the program.
