We would like to thank Ashley and Wesley Barnett for serving as our 2016-2017 Campaign Co-Chairs.

Thanks to their leadership, United Way of Central Florida was able to raise more than $9.2 million to fund services and collaborations throughout Polk, Highlands, and Hardee counties. These services are vital to the impact we make under the areas of education, income, financial stability and safety net.

Wesley and Ashley focused on the “Power of U” this campaign, keeping in mind that it takes all of us working together to LIVE UNITED. Over 60 new workplaces and thousands of new individuals joined the movement to LIVE UNITED by giving, advocating, and volunteering.

Not only have Wesley and Ashley made a large impact during this past campaign, but their efforts to broaden the base stem from their roots in this community. As young professionals, they helped us increase our Young Leaders Society (YLS) base from 150 members to over 750 members today. They have been instrumental in our board service, Tocqueville Society, Women’s Leadership Council, Upper Cabinet, ReadingPals, and exploring additional ways to bring all of Central Florida to the United Way table.

Thanks to you Ashley and Wesley, lives will be changed and our neighborhoods will be strengthened. We cannot thank you enough for your service and leadership!
