At Central Florida Speech & Hearing Center (CFSHC), they know how to have fun while making a difference! Under the leadership of Campaign Coordinator Lauren Giordano, the Chief Experience Officer, their team has turned fundraising into an exciting and engaging experience for everyone.
This year, CFSHC embraced a series of small, innovative events that foster team spirit while contributing to the United Way of Central Florida. Their creative approach makes it easy for everyone to participate.
Here’s a snapshot of their campaign special events:
- Casual for a Cause: Employees can enjoy casual Friday all summer long by donating $20.
- Hot Dog Day for United Way: For just $5, team members got to indulge in a delicious grilled hot dog and sides expertly prepared by President/CEO/Chef Roxann herself!
- Silent Auction: Staff bid on a variety of exciting items and jewelry, making this a hit at the Center.
- Jar Wars: A playful competition where each department has a jar and others will put change in the other departments’ jars. The department with the most change must make breakfast for the entire team. (The Admin team tends to lose, much to everyone’s amusement!)
- T-shirt Sale: A $5 contribution earns a CFSHC t-shirt, making it a fun way to show team pride.
- Vote for Cutest Pet: Employees vote with dollars for the cutest team member pet, adding a dash of friendly competition to the workplace.
- Paws for a Cause: Although this is still in the idea phase, a $5 donation would give staff the chance to play with rescue puppies during their break!
These unique events not only raised funds but also strengthened bonds within the workplace. Central Florida Speech & Hearing Center’s approach is a fantastic example of how even small events can have a big impact.
