Rock Band Celebration

Instructions:

1. Tell your child that today you are going to have a celebration because you are so proud of how much they learned and grew this year. Today, we are going to celebrate by making our own rock band party.
2. First, we need party hats. You will use paper and any craft materials you may have handy to decorate it. (For the easiest way to make a hat, you can cut one piece of paper long ways splitting it into one piece that is about 2/3 and one that is 1/3 of the size.  Please watch the video for me to model what this looks like).
   • Be sure to fit it to your child’s head before securing the 2 pieces together.
3. Gather any of your kitchen items that you won’t mind getting a little banged on. Pots and pans work great for this as they are durable.
4. Set up a place where you can have your band. Encourage all your family members to join along in the fun!
   • Try and get the following:
     • Drummer
     • Air guitarists
     • Singer
     • Maybe even some backup dancers or singers.

5. Play some music and rock on!
