UWCF Staff Spotlight: Rod Crowley
This week’s UWCF Staff Spotlight is on Rod Crowley!
Rod has been our Chief Operations Officer for only three months and, due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, he’s had to dive in headfirst.
“It’s been extremely busy with the challenges of working during a crisis,” he said. “But the fact that we are making so much impact is worth it. At the end of every single day, you can look back at the difference you’ve made.”
While Rod has only worked at United Way of Central Florida for three months, he’s no stranger to our agency.
“I’ve been a donor to United Way for years in both Las Vegas and Florida,” Rod Said. “I’ve also participated in the Community Investment Team process from the agency perspective with Big Brothers Big Sisters.”
Rod’s wife, Jeanette Crowley, is even a big part of UWCF. Jeanette is Polk County Public School’s employee coordinator for their annual United Way campaign. Rod and Jeanette will celebrate their four-year anniversary on June 10.
While work is consuming much of his time now, Rod said he looks forward to getting back to his triathlon training and annual hiking trips.
Thank you, Rod, for being such an integral part of the United Way team.
