Tax Holidays and Upcoming Exemptions:
Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday, July 25 – Aug 7
- Clothing, footwear, and backpacks costing less than $100
- School supplies and learning aids costing less than $50
- Personal computers or computer-related accessories, including non-recreational software costing less than $1,500
Tool Time Sales Tax Holiday, September 3-9
- Certain hand and power tools, work boots, safety equipment, shop lights, toolboxes, toolbelts, plumbing and electrical equipment, and industry textbooks and codebooks
Gas Tax Holiday, October 1-31
- Reduces tax on motor fuel by $0.25 per gallon

Long-Term Sales Tax Relief:
Now until August 14, 2022: Tax Exemption on Children’s Books
Now until June 30, 2024: Tax exemption on impact-resistant windows, doors, and garage doors
Now until June 30, 2023: Tax exemption on baby and toddler clothing and shoes (Children aged 5 or younger)
Now until June 30, 2024:: Tax exemption on children’s diapers (single-use or reusable)
Now until June 30, 2024: Tax exemption on certain ENERGY STAR appliances:
- Refrigerator/freezers under $3,000
- Water heaters $1,500
- Washers and dryers under $1,500
