On Thursday, December 15 United Way of Central Florida and approximately 150 guests gathered to celebrate the holiday season and raise money for the George W. Jenkins End Hunger Initiative.

Young Leaders Society Chair Erica Lupercio opened up the evening by thanking the sponsors and welcoming everyone to the event. President and CEO Christina Criser Jackson shared about the YLS’ adoption of the George W. Jenkins End Hunger initiative and how funds raised go towards the 21 healthy food pantries in Polk, Highlands and Hardee counties.

Attendees had a three course meal and wine pairings designed by Publix Aprons Cooking School Chef Jeff Conley along with a live demonstration of how to prepare each dish. Recipes were also given to those that attended. After the food presentations guests were entertained by acoustic duo Sister Mister.

YLS Aprons Chair Lauren Albaum closed out the program by thanking everyone once again and wishing everyone a happy holidays.
