Bean Bag Toss

Instructions:

1. First, decide what you want your focus to be for this game.
   • Basic tossing skills: Allow your child to focus on tossing the bean bag into the basket; encourage them to move a little farther back each time they make a shot.
2. Color focused:
   • Have your child color enough pages for how many baskets you will use, each page being a different color.
   • You will put a color for each basket
   • Set them up so the colors are easy for your child to see
   • Encourage them to toss their bean bag into the color basket you call out.
     • The roles can be reversed, and the child can call out a color for their parent or sibling to toss the bean bag into.
3. Shape focused:
   • Follow the same steps as the color focused game but help your child to draw several shapes for the baskets.

Extension:

This game can be changed to accommodate other skills you want to focus on with your child. You could do letters or numbers as well as many other ideas. Be creative and have fun!
